Position Summary

The Tourism Partnership Manager plays a critical role in driving awareness to and growing revenue for The Florida Aquarium. This position requires a strategic and detail-oriented individual to manage existing key tourism partnerships with the primary goal to optimize revenue generation and increase audience acquisition.

Essential Position Functions

Identify, develop, and manage key tourism partnerships including OTA's, hotels, and tour operators that align with the strategic plan, attendance, and revenue goals

Maintain repository of all third-party contractual agreements and reconciliation reports

Manage the full lifecycle of external product partnership creation and fulfillment

Create comprehensive framework to evaluate the efficacy of third-party reseller partnerships

Assist in the processing and fulfillment of all external ticket and product partners needs

Develop and maintain strong relationships with the Tampa and other convention and

visitors

bureaus, tour and travel groups, and other tourism industry organizations

Work with the Director of Business Intelligence on strategic pricing to generate competitive product offerings while remaining aligned to our dynamic pricing principals

Evaluate net rates per key tourism partnership and make recommendations to support overall revenue generation goals

Represent the Aquarium by attending various tradeshows and conferences to generate and enhance tourism partnerships while amplifying awareness of The Florida Aquarium

Conduct venue tours and partner with local visitor bureaus to coordinate and host familiarization trips with targeted clients when needed

Maintain and generate reports to track the efficacy of each tourism related sales vertical

Proactively provide regular briefings for the Business Operations team leadership with accurate and timely reporting on all third-party activities and sales trends

Provide assistance

, guidance, and operational support to The Florida Aquarium's Guest Services team to ensure any reseller troubleshooting needs are met in a timely manner

Deliver extraordinary customer service to all Aquarium guests and internal customers

Understand and align with the Aquarium's purpose, vision, and values

Self-motivated, focused, and must work well in a team and collaborative environment

Implements sustainable business practices whenever possible

Support TFA's Shared Purpose by participating in a Conservation Day of Action shift on an annual basis

Other duties as assigned

Education Requirements and Technical Skills

Bachelors degree preferred

Three to five years of business management experience in entertainment / tourism / attraction industry

Knowledge of Microsoft Office Software

Multi-lingual a plus

  • This schedule is primarily Monday – Friday with flexibility to meet event requirements, including occasional evenings and weekends.
