Position Purpose : Under limited direction of the supervisor and with medical direction of the radiologist, carries out appropriate ultrasound procedures and maintains related records; provides general assistance to the radiologist in interpreting films and provides technical instruction to students and hospital staff. The scope of practice includes those procedures, acts, and processes permitted by law, for which the individual has received education and clinical experience and has demonstrated competency in the standard of practice of ultrasound.
