Fab Machine Operator

Stainless Piping Specialists is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team as a general machine operator with fabrication duties, Including training and advancement opportunities that include Laser machine operation.  Join our team and work with a great talented group here at SPS! This is going to be a 2nd shift position but will train on 1st shift for no less than 2 months.

Summary / Objective :

The machine operator / Fabrication position safely performs cutting, grinding, laser cutting etc. for a variety of Stainless Pipe configurations.

Essential Functions :

• Perform typical Fabrication and Cutting operations
• Select proper cutting programs.
• Establish proper stop location, cut condition adjustments as needed.
• Make proper set-ups for cutting operations.
• Perform prescribed operator maintenance as required
• Perform dimensional inspections.
• Detect and report defective materials to supervisor
• May perform a variety of other tasks as production needs require.
• Load equipment with raw material using the overhead crane and / or forklift in order to prepare the equipment for an accurate cut.
