Neighborhood Health – Nutritionist

Non-Exempt, 40 Hours DeKalb County

Our goal is simple : improving access to healthcare in our community and surrounding areas. Neighborhood Health is looking to add a Nutritionist to our team. As a Nutritionist you will :

✓ Screen, assess, and evaluate a participant’s nutritional status.

✓ Evaluate participant’s nutritional status through dietary assessment and make recommendations in relation to nutritional needs.

✓ Refer participants to community programs for specialized nutrition services / food assistance.

✓ Determine eligibility of participants for WIC program based on nutritional status.

✓ Promote breastfeeding to prenatals. Work with postpartum participants who are experience difficulties with breastfeeding. Make referrals to lactation consultant as needed.

Requirements :

• One-year experience in Maternal and Child Health or Clinic setting, with teaching responsibilities preferred.

Education Requirements :

The schedule is Monday : 8 : 00am – 5 : 00pm, Tuesday 8 : 00am – 5 : 00pm, Wednesday : 10 : 00am – 7 : 00pm, Thursday : 8 : 00am – 5 : 00pm, Friday 8 : 00am – 5 : 00pm.
