Engineering Project Assistant
The Collins Aerospace Avionics Test Engineering organization is a global engineering team responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of manufacturing test solutions in support of the $5B Avionics strategic business unit as well as external customers including armed services and airlines both domestic and international.
The organization is seeking a detail-oriented individual to join our team as an Engineering Project Assistant. In this role, you will provide non-technical administrative support to project engineers and teams. Your responsibilities will include submitting procurement requests for necessary parts, overseeing the receipt and organization of these parts, and ensuring they are ready for the kitting process. This position offers a great opportunity to develop your problem-solving and communication skills in a dynamic engineering environment.
Provide administrative support to project engineers and teams.
Submit procurement requests for necessary parts, ensuring all specifications and quantities are accurately ordered.
Oversee receipt and organization of ordered parts for the kitting process.
Submit completed kits to the build team, ensuring all parts are available.
Prepare domestic and international shipping memos.
Track work requests using Jira or other project management tools.
Assist in coordinating the release and revisions of documentation and software.
Manage Peer Reviews, including creating reviews, tracking action items, and closing out the process.
Communicate effectively with peers, engineers, and other departments.
Collaborate to achieve objectives and resolve issues.
Qualifications you must have :
Typically requires HS Diploma or AA / AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
Experience in parts ordering and inventory management
