General Description : Middle School Religion
Saint Patrick Academy is seeking a qualified and passionate, part-time Middle School (7th and 8th grade) Religion teacher. SPA is a co-educational, independent Catholic school serving students from PreK-3 through 8th grade in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. The School provides a challenging and enriched curriculum that allows graduates to achieve success in the high schools of their choice.
To be considered for this position, the applicant must be a practicing Catholic.
The ideal candidate :
Has experience and skills in teaching Religion, as well as in curriculum development, classroom management, and pedagogyDemonstrates an enthusiasm for the subject matterHas experience with and a passion for Middle School students and Middle-level educationDesires to develop expertise in social-emotional learning and differentiated instructionDemonstrates meaningful skill with technology in order to create authentic learning experiences for students (SPA is a 1 : 1 Chromebook school)Works collaboratively with administration, faculty, and staff in carrying out the Catholic mission of the schoolPossesses excellent oral and written communication skillsHolds at least a bachelor's degreeThrives in a faith-driven environmentResponsibilities include :

Essential Duties :
Support and uphold the philosophy of Catholic education and the mission of the school.Support and adhere to the Standards of Conduct and policies and procedures of the schoolSupervises students in the classroom, at lunch, recess, and in routine movementDelivers assigned curriculum using the designated textbook and curriculum expectationsEnsures that all students receive the highest quality academic instructionKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
