In this vital role you will report to the Sr. Manager of R&D Supplier Governance, you will ensure appropriate governance and oversight of imaging suppliers, support programs and study teams, collaborate with senior management, and partner with internal stakeholders and suppliers for process improvement.

Responsibilities
- Facilitating and performing supplier governance meetings and operating reviews.
- Developing effective partnerships with imaging suppliers.
- Measuring and reporting supplier performance.
- Supporting business functions with selection and development of new suppliers by :
- Identifying business needs at Amgen for new suppliers with functional input,
- Supporting final decision on selection of suppliers,
- Ensuring quality oversight of suppliers through,
- Chairing and running supplier governance meetings,
- Working with suppliers and internal customers (typically up to Director level) to identify, lead, raise and resolve issues related to supplier performance,
- Measuring supplier performance and reporting performance feedback to internal partners and supplier.
- Financial oversight of suppliers across portfolio of work.
- Ensuring quality oversight of R&D SG led purchase orders (POs).
- Identifying functional standard methodologies and process improvements and coordinate their development and implementation for suppliers by
- Ensuring adherence to best practices by Amgen functional areas.
- Collaborating closely with functional areas to ensure internal business needs are being met.

Doctorate degree ORMaster's degree & 2 years of life sciences or medically related field. including clinical trial experience ORBachelor's degree & 4 years of relevant experience ORAssociate's degree & 8 years of relevant experience ORHigh school diploma / GED & 10 years of relevant experience.Preferred Qualifications :
7 years work experience in life sciences or medically related field, including 4 years of biopharmaceutical clinical trial experience (clinical research experience obtained working on clinical trials at a biotech, pharmaceutical or CRO company).Experience at, or oversight of, technical suppliers (imaging, equipment, eCOA / IRT, device suppliers, etc.)Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices (GCP), FDA regulations and guidelines, and international regulatory requirements / guidelinesExperience working in a global, matrix organization, professional collaboration and leadership skills are required.Project management / project planning experience, proficiency in anticipating and resolving problems.Experience writing and communicating clearly on scientific and clinical issues.Experience with Microsoft suite of applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, etc.)What you can expect from us

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
