Job Overview
The Program Director will be responsible for operating the ACGME-accredited Psychiatry Residency Program, ensuring an educational environment that trains competent psychiatrists prepared for independent practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Time Commitment : Dedicate sufficient time (FTE 0.50) for program administration as per ACGME requirements.
- Educational Oversight : Develop and oversee educational experiences, establish goals, monitor resident progress, and ensure compliance with ACGME standards.
- Program Administration : Recruit and evaluate faculty and site directors, oversee program evaluations, and maintain accreditation documentation.
- Resident Engagement : Provide evaluations, individualized learning plans, and monitor resident well-being.
- Committee Leadership : Chair the Program Evaluation Committee and participate in Clinical Competency Committee meetings.
- Scholarly Activity : Promote research, publications, and quality improvement projects among residents and faculty.
- Recruitment and Budgeting : Recruit residents via NRMP Match and manage program budget with institutional leadership.
- Institutional Collaboration : Attend meetings and collaborate with institutional officials such as the DIO and Program Coordinator.
Minimum Requirements
Certification and Licensure : Board Certified in Psychiatry by ABPN and eligible for licensure in [State].Experience : Minimum 3 years in educational / administrative roles within Psychiatry Residency Programs; demonstrated excellence in clinical care, teaching, leadership, and scholarly activity.Skills and Commitment : Strong leadership, communication skills, and adherence to policies.Additional Details
