Travel or Local Allied Healthcare Professional needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2+ years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available.

CT Technologist - CT Tech

\n\n

Job Details : \n

  • Perform radiological duties in compliance with American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) standards

    • \n

  • Graduate from an accredited Radiologic Technology program required

    • \n

  • Current Texas Medical Board (MRT license) and ARRT registry required

    • \n

  • Two years experience in Computed Tomography, X-ray, PACS operation and teleradiography preferred

    • \n

  • Screen patients before exams for precautions or contraindications

    • \n

  • Explain and prepare patients for radiological procedures while ensuring patient care and safety

    • \n

  • Protect patients, self and staff from radiation exposure using ALARA principles

    • \n

  • Obtain quality diagnostic images as requested by provider while maintaining low repeat rate

    • \n

  • Adjust equipment for proper radiographic exposure techniques according to radiation safety guidelines

    • \n

  • Ensure all equipment is in good working condition and compliant with applicable laws

    • \n

  • Provide timely and adequate documentation

    • \n

  • Maintain patient X-ray files in confidential and secure manner

    • \n

  • Maintain cleanliness in diagnostic imaging rooms and stock radiological supplies

    • \n

  • Work closely with providers to receive guidance for patient treatment

    • \n

  • Assist with maintaining updated CT protocol manual and software upgrades

    • \n

  • Assist with training new associates and provide technical expertise

    • \n

  • With appropriate training, perform additional duties such as venipuncture, lab operations, vital signs, and EKG

    • \n

  • Ability to work independently in CT / X-ray environment

    • \n

  • Some minimal travel may be required between sites

    • \n

  • Ability to lift and move objects up to 25 pounds

    • \n

  • Must be able to work extended hours when needed
