40 miles from facility) Contract Length : 13 weeks Start Date : 12 / 1 (bi-weekly orientation) Guaranteed Hours : 36 (option for 48s upon request) OT : Begins after 52 hours for 48-hour contracts Primary Location : Gateway Shift : 12-hr Days (6 : 30a–7p) Float : First to float within skillset. May float to Deaconess Midtown (8 mi) or Deaconess Henderson, KY (11 mi). 2-hour notice for cross-campus floats. Mid-shift floats typically within same campus. Call Requirement : None Weekends / Holidays : 3 weekends per 6-week schedule; every other holiday Required Certifications : Active Compact RN license AHA BLS & NIHSS (attach with submittal) Experience : Required : 2 years strong Tele / Med-Surg, 1 prior travel assignment, Level II trauma experience Preferred : Charge RN experience Charting : EPIC (recent experience required; checkoff class included) Patient Population : Complex Med / Surg / Tele — post cardiac caths, CVA / TIA, ICD, complex abdominal surgeries (open belly / colon), oncology, POD2 cranis Skills : Required : NIHSS, dysphagia screening, strong neuro assessments, Tele & 12-lead EKG interpretation (must pass Tele test), titrate drips (Insulin, Cardiac, Heparin), heart cath recovery (femoral & TR bands) Preferred : NG / PEG tubes, PIV insertion, Tikosyn dosing, chest tubes Unit Details : 32 beds Ratios : Days 1 : 4–5 (rarely 6), Nights 1 : 6–7 Charge RN carries assignment Supportive, team-oriented environment with proactive charge nurses and helpful clerical staff Scrubs : Navy blue (no agency or competitor logos) Attendance Policy : 3 call-ins may result in termination About Connected Health Care Connected Health Care is a nationally recognized healthcare recruiting and staffing agency specializing in travel nursing, travel allied health, interim leadership, per-diem staffing, and permanent placement.
