Job Title : Project Manager
Location : Dallas TX
Duration : 6 months (with possible extension)
Job Description :
The candidate must have at least 5 years of experience with managing IT projects. They would be accountable for one or more medium risk projects or critical elements of larger, higher risk projects and will work with stakeholders to establish deadlines, tracks responsibilities, and monitor and summarize progress of project. The Project Manager 2 will build and maintain working relationships with team members, vendors, and other departments involved in the projects.

- Provide project management leadership to project / program teams by defining and managing issues and risks, defining scope, and identify tasks necessary to complete assigned work.
- Direct, as appropriate, team resources responsible for executing specific tasks.
- Document requirements, constraints, and assumptions with stakeholders in order to establish the project deliverables.
- Create and execute project communications and delivery via status reports and other deliverables necessary to inform and align stakeholders verbally and in writing.
- Monitor project schedule, performance, quality, and budget using appropriate tools and techniques, then implement corrective actions as needed.
- Lead estimation and planning activities in advance of project start for projects appropriate to level of experience and responsibility.
- Identify and implement actions to improve overall team performance and build a positive, team-oriented culture.
- Possess and convey knowledge of PM professional practice codes, methodologies, and knowledge sources to help grow PM capabilities throughout the organization.
