The role you'll contribute : Under general supervision, the primary duties include greeting patients as they enter the department, answering phones in a professional manner, registering patients for their tests, and keeping track of radiology records. Accepts additional roles assigned by department manager. Actively participates in outstanding customer service and accepts responsibility in maintaining relationships that are equally respectful to all.

Greets patients as they enter the department, using outstanding customer service skills. Answers phone using scripted greeting. Lets coordinator and nurses know when patients are ready. (Communication). Registers patients as they arrive to the department using Florida Hospital procedures and adhering to the PFS standards. (Registration). Assists physicians offices and patients by using the computer to locate exams and reports; faxes reports, signs out films to patients, memos appropriately.

The expertise and experiences you'll need to succeed : Minimum qualifications : Basic computer and filing skills. Ability to communicate professionally with an acceptable use of English and spelling. Ability to follow directions. Ability to work independently in most situations while multitasking. Ability to work with people of various diverse backgrounds. Customer service skills.

Preferred qualifications : Knowledge of PFS procedures. Knowledge of computer programs including Sunport, Cerner (registration screens and scheduling). Medical terminology. Ability to communicate in Spanish. High school diploma or equivalent.
