Job Overview

The University of Minnesota Medical Center - West Bank Campus is looking for a savvy Registered Nurse to join our team of talented healthcare providers, who will work in our Adult and Pediatric units with Hemodialysis and Peitoneal Dialysis patients.

This position works a .75FTE (60 hours per 2 week pay period) on the day and evening shifts, at 10 hour shifts with every other weekend rotation.

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s).

The RN will perform these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act.

The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.

The RN will need to be able to demonstrate the ability to safely and accurately operate unit equipment.

RN works with pediatric and adult patient populations that have dialysis needs.

Position will be regularly scheduled for on-call shifts.

Required : MN RN License

BLS required

One year hemodialysis experience

Preferred :

BSN or higher preferred

Peritoneal dialysis experience

Pediatric experience

Certified Nephrology Nurse (CNN) or Certifed Dialysis Nurse (CDN) certification
