Smart Home Technology Installer

Location : Collier and Lee Counties, FL

Position Type : Contract-to-Hire (3–6 Months)

Compensation :

  • $58 per installation
  • $240 for non-installation days
  • $100 for down days
  • $50 MVP awards
  • Weekly travel stipends
  • Paid training ($1,200 / week + stipends)

About the Role

We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Smart Home Technology Installer to join our growing team. You’ll install and service smart home systems in residential settings, including wiring, touchscreens, and onboard camera systems. This role includes a 3–6 month training program with 90% travel across the U.S.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install smart home equipment in residential properties
  • Use dispatch tools to log time, job scope, and service details
  • Communicate clearly with managers, clients, and team members
  • Maintain tools, inventory, and prepare for jobs in advance
  • Follow safety protocols and quality standards
  • Deliver excellent customer service
  • Participate in hands-on training, including smart vehicle installations

    • Requirements

  • 2+ years of electrical, mechanical, or wiring experience OR relevant certification
  • Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, and insurance
  • Must pass drug screening
  • Basic tools required for installations
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • MECP certification preferred (can be earned during training)
  • Comfortable with physical work, ladders, tight spaces, and outdoor conditions

    • Physical Demands

  • Lift up to 45 lbs
  • Work in attics, crawlspaces, and under vehicles
  • Climb ladders up to 14 ft
  • Stand, bend, kneel for extended periods

    • Travel & Training Details

  • 3–6 month training period with 80–90% travel in the U.S.
  • Full travel coverage : flights, hotels, car rentals
  • Daily stipends : $35 (meals), $10 (incidentals)
  • Paid training : $1,200 / week
  • Installations pay $58 each (30–80 mins)
  • Additional pay for non-installation work, down days, and performance awards
