The photographer is part of Camp’s Media Team and is responsible for capturing the magic of camp through various media projects, including photos, videos, and written communication. The Media Team reports to the Head of Media. During non-elective times, you will fulfill your responsibilities as a cabin counselor, reporting to your Unit Leader.
Responsibilities :
- Capture 300+ photos and videos each day of a diverse cross-section of campers and program areas, using professional cameras and equipment to capture high-quality images and videos that showcase the unique moments and spirit of camp.
- Take photos of all-camp events, such as The Play, Color War events, and Shabbat services, ensuring that important camp-wide activities are documented for future reference and promotional purposes.
- Edit photos to a final presentation status, using photo and video editing software to enhance and optimize the visual quality of the media content, and ensure it aligns with the camp's branding and communication standards.
- Organize, tag, and archive photos and videos throughout the summer, maintaining a well-organized and easily accessible media library for future use by the camp and its stakeholders.
- Upload photos every day to CampInTouch, the camp's online platform, for parents and families to view and download, ensuring timely and accurate sharing of media content with parents and families.
- Work on special projects, such as the End of Session Slideshows and camper interviews, creating multimedia presentations that capture the highlights and memories of the camp session.
- Run camp's media elective, teaching campers photography, videography, and other media skills, inspiring and guiding campers to develop their creativity and technical skills in media production.
- Set up and ensure proper functioning of all equipment, including speakers, microphones, stands, and any other necessary audio-visual equipment for camp events and activities, including but not limited to evening programs, Shabbat, and Havdalah.
- Fulfill responsibilities as a cabin counselor during non-program times, including evening programs, wake-up and bedtime, meals, and on-duty rotations, to ensure the well-being and safety of your cabin.
