We are seeking a DFM & Should-Cost Analyst with strong expertise in Design for Manufacturability principles and should-cost modelling to join our growing team. This role is central to our investment in advanced digital manufacturing tools, particularly aPriori software, to enhance product cost transparency and manufacturability early in the design process.
You will work closely with design engineers, sourcing, and manufacturing teams to generate data-driven insights that reduce product costs, improve manufacturability, and accelerate time-to-market.
Key Responsibilities :
- Utilize aPriori software to perform should-cost analysis on mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
- Conduct Design for Manufacturability (DFM) assessments on new and existing product designs.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (engineering, sourcing, manufacturing) to identify cost reduction opportunities without compromising quality or performance.
- Build and maintain cost models using aPriori, incorporating manufacturing processes, materials, labor, overhead, and regional factors.
- Support new product development by providing real-time manufacturability feedback and cost implications during early design phases.
- Develop and maintain libraries and templates within aPriori to reflect accurate manufacturing process capabilities.
- Benchmark supplier quotes against aPriori should-cost models to support fact-based negotiations.
- Provide training and support to internal stakeholders on the use of aPriori and DFM best practices.
- Assist in establishing KPIs to measure the impact of should-costing and DFM initiatives across the product lifecycle.
