Our Client is in search of an Instrument Specialist to join their Team in Houston, TX. In this role you will be responsible for performing engineering and technical tasks associated with specifying instrumentation, purchasing and installing instrumentation and coordinating FAT test on modular skids.
Responsibilities :
- Participate in project meetings with project managers and other project stakeholders.
- Prepare and design instrument specifications for control valves, shutdown valves and transmitters / gauges.
- Participate in Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID) reviews and develop Cause and Effect (C&E) matrixes.
- Develop process control system or control narrative with process engineering.
- Develop instrument lists with specifications and calibration information.
- Quote and purchase instrumentation with proper documentation.
- Coordinate instrument installation with shop I&E contractor.
- Coordinate Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) of the instrumentation on the skids.
- Manage client relationship with project manager.
Qualifications :
Minimum 5+ years of experience in instrumentation.Field or commissioning experience preferred.Working knowledge of the design of instrumented control and safety systems preferred.Working knowledge of instrument and electrical design codes (ISA, NEC, API, etc.) preferred.Ability to make decisions or take actions to solve a problem or reach a goal.Ability to communicate effectively with others verbally and in writing.Ability to organize and direct a project to completion.Equal Opportunity Employer / Veterans / Disabled
