Job Title : Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Maintenance Technician Level 5, is responsible for executing preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance tasks. This role involves troubleshooting electrical, electromechanical, robotics, and controls failures. The technician performs advanced maintenance procedures on all plant equipment, including AC / DC control circuitry, programmable logic controllers, microprocessor controls, power distribution systems, computer hardware, as well as making minor mechanical adjustments and equipment or part replacements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance on all plant equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair electrical, electromechanical, robotics, and controls failures.
  • Conduct advanced maintenance procedures on AC / DC control circuitry, programmable logic controllers, and microprocessor controls.
  • Manage power distribution systems and conduct minor mechanical adjustments.
  • Replace equipment parts when necessary.
  • Read and interpret machine manuals, electrical schematics, and process control diagrams.
  • Troubleshoot and program VFDs, PLCs, and HMIs.
  • Work with RS Logix, C Logix, and SLC / Micro Logix programming platforms.
  • Interpret fault readings on controllers, PLCs, and variable frequency drives to take corrective actions.

Essential Skills

  • 5-10 years of advanced troubleshooting experience with automated and robotic manufacturing equipment.
  • Proficiency in reading and interpreting machine manuals, electrical blueprints, and process control diagrams.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and install 480V electric motor wiring and 120V / 24V DC motor control circuits.
  • Experience with RS Logix, C Logix, SLC / Micro Logix programming platforms.
  • Skill in interpreting fault readings on PLCs and variable frequency drives.
  • Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Mechanical drive experience and mechanical installation / alignment techniques.
  • Proficiency in using precision measurement tools.
  • Industrial electrical experience and / or certification.
  • Knowledge of Allen Bradley Variable Frequency Drives, PLCs, and Siemens systems.
  • Experience with installation, calibration, and maintenance of processes and analytical instrumentation.

    Work Environment

    The position is located in a food manufacturing facility that is climate-controlled. Employees are required to wear a beard and hair net. The maintenance team consists of 15 members, including 3 supervisors and 4 leads. This role is on the night shift from 7 pm to 7 am.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $68640.00 - $72800.00 / yr.
