Position Details

Assistant Boys Lacrosse Coach

Location : Albemarle High School

SALARY : Coaching Stipend

Qualifications

• Knowledge of VHSL rules and regulations
• Ability to develop and train AA student-athletes
• Positive relations with students, parents, and the community
• Extensive knowledge of individual and team fundamentals
• Ability to organize practice schedules
• Develop discipline emphasizing teamwork and sportsmanship
• Previous coaching experience required
• Preference for candidates with or eligible for a Virginia teaching license
• Disclosure of prior convictions as per state law

Coaching / playing experience in lacrosse is helpful. The role involves after-school and weekend hours. Coaching stipend available.

Physical Conditions and Work Contacts

Duties are performed in school settings including gym and recreational areas. Regular physical activities such as walking, standing, and light lifting are required. Daily contact with student-athletes for instruction and regular travel to matches. Contact with coaches, administrators, parents, and media occurs regularly.

All positions are part-time and temporary.
