Position Responsibilities
May include :
- Safely operate forklifts and other warehouse equipment to load / unload and transfer materials
- Receive, stock, and organize inventory in designated locations
- Maintain accurate inventory records and assist with cycle counts
- Complete will calls and prepare orders for delivery or customer pickup
- Ensure warehouse cleanliness and safety through daily inspections and good housekeeping practices
- Assist customers and internal staff with product inquiries and order fulfillment
- Wear proper PPE and uniform during all shifts
- Follow standard operating procedures and company policies
- Serve as a backup driver for local deliveries as needed
- Safely load, secure, and deliver products to customer sites using company vehicles
- Perform pre- and post-trip inspections of delivery vehicles and forklifts
- Maintain compliance with DOT regulations and company safety standards
- Accurately complete delivery logs and related paperwork
- Provide courteous and professional service during deliveries
- Assist with front counter or branch operations when required
Knowledge & Skills
Minimum 21 years oldPossesses a valid driver’s license in the state of employmentHas a working knowledge of commercial truck mechanicsHas a working knowledge of current Department of Transportation (DOT) regulationsHas a minimum of 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience within the past 3 yearsPlacement as driver is contingent upon successful completion of DOT road test, pre-employment drug & alcohol testing, and background checkDMV record cannot reflect an excess of 2 moving violations and / or preventable accidents within the past 3 yearsValid driving license with excellent driving recordMust pass DOT standardsExcellent customer service skillsAbility to proficiently use MS Office including Outlook & Excel, Mincron and a scannerExperience
Minimum 1 year of warehouse experienceMinimum 1 year of operating a DOT regulated vehicle, box truck preferredCurrent Valid Driver LicenseEducation / Certification
