Pharmacy Technician

Job Summary

The Pharmacy Technician will support a closed-door pharmacy that services long-term care facilities (such as personal care homes) and local physician offices. This role does not involve public access or interaction with the general public. The technician will play an essential role in daily pharmacy operations including medication order processing, packaging, and customer support.

This is a hands-on position that requires extended periods of standing, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Main Responsibilities

• Process prescription orders : refills, new prescriptions, medication changes, and cycle billing
• Operate an automated blister packaging machine and related software
• Accurately package and label medications for delivery
• Receive, check in, and stock medication inventory
• Answer phone calls and assist clients with professionalism and courtesy
• Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work environment
• Collaborate with pharmacists and other pharmacy staff to ensure service quality
• Support rotating Saturday shifts as scheduled

Schedule : Monday – Friday; Rotating Saturdays

Physical Requirements : Long periods of standing; minimal lifting required
