Senior Principal Contracts Specialist

General Dynamics Mission Systems has an immediate need for a Senior Principal Contracts Specialist. Duties and tasks include : providing domain expertise in contract management, administering contracts and monitoring contract or subcontract performance, acting as focal point for all contractual communications and commitments to customers, maintaining documentation and files in accordance with applicable processes, assuring compliance with applicable federal regulations and internal policies and procedures, participating as a key member of the proposal or program team to address contract requirements, collaborating with the Capture / Proposal / Program Manager to support overall contract performance, reviewing Requests for Proposals and participating in preparing compliant proposal responses, negotiating contracts or subcontracts within business goals, reviewing contract documents for accuracy, performance risk, and conformance with contract terms, collaborating as a key member of program team to ensure contract requirements are fully understood and executed, responding to internal and external inquiries regarding contract issues, audits, and compliance requirements, managing contract change process and working with the Program Manager, Engineering, Finance, and other disciplines to mitigate performance risk, advising and supporting business team on issues and developments relative to assigned contracts, monitoring contract performance for scope changes and taking appropriate action, building customer relationships and knowing customer needs and issues, providing leadership, subject matter expertise, and innovative recommendations to new or unusual contracting, subcontracting, or programmatic issues, supporting an overall understanding of the Contracts department operations and GDMS enterprise objectives.

Workplace options : This position is hybrid and requires reporting to the office weekly, number of days dependent on customer needs.

Salary note : This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary. This job posting will remain open until the position is filled. Combined salary range : USD $168,392.00 - USD $176,000.00 / Yr.
