Summary
The Improvement Technician is a member of the Autonomous Core Team who provides crew support in plant processes under the direction of the Process Manager to implement improvements that ensure value stream objectives are met and improve human performance, process performance, food safety, human safety, environmental, and sanitation performance.

Partnering and supporting cross-functional teams
Intermediate technical knowledge of mechanical work; such as, operating common hand and power tools, ability to measure, draw, build, and install basic conceptual designs, and understand established maintenance protocols.
Demonstrate resourcefulness and unconventional thinking to resolve commonly recurring problems
Demonstrate a passion for improving current methods and processes through action
Demonstrate initiative, follow-through, effective interpersonal skills, and planning and organizational skills
Education and / or Experience
High School diploma or general education degree (GED). Experiential learning giving the incumbent the ability to successfully meet all listed requirements of this position.
Language Skills
Have the ability to read and comprehend simple to complex instructions, correspondence, and memos. Have the ability to effectively present information verbally in one-on-one conversations and in small group (
Mathematical Skills
Have the ability to do basic math (i.e., addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and the conversion of fractions and percentages).
