NW Employment is partnered with a Veteran owned Heavy Equipment manufacturing company in Sherwood, OR, and we are looking to add Welder / Fitters to join our team!

Starting Wages : Based upon weld test

Swing Shift Schedule : Monday – Friday 6am-230pm

Ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in a Welding, Fabricating, and Fitting role.

To be considered for this position, you must have the following qualifications :

• Ability to prepare weldments for assembly into structural fabricated products.
• Able to achieve high quality and maximum strength welds with a wide range of metal sizes, with little or no distortion.
• Required : Experience with running 0.52 wire and welding on thick metals (mild / raw steel) up to 3” thick
• Respirator Medical Exam and Fit Test will be required
• Experience with Jib or Overhead Cranes is preferred.
• Required : Experience reading Blueprints & Weld Symbols
• Required : Fitting experience
• Rudimentary math skills are required.
• Fit from blueprint with or without fixtures
• Ability to plan all welding jobs from start to finish, using wide range of metal sizes
• Can work with limited amount of supervision
• Ability to work across multiple product lines (six different product lines)
• Must be able to wear steel-toed boots and metatarsal guards.
• Must be able to pass pre-employment physical, background check, drug screen, and respirator exam.
