Your Role

Oversees staffing, training, schedule planning and special projects critical to the Lenexa 24 / 7 Dry Powder Media Manufacturing. Leads process engineers, training specialists, and manufacturing support teams ensuring safety, quality, throughput, and compliance standards are met.

  • Manage efficiency projects and training programs to support 24 / 7 production, aiming for profitability, service, throughput, quality, and efficiency.
  • Coordinate weekly production schedules with Planning to meet output targets across three production lines.
  • Develop and demonstrate technical knowledge of equipment / processes for customer audits and technical visits.
  • Ensure quality systems and regulatory compliance in production, collaborating on IQ / OQ / PQ execution and change management.
  • Coordinate Process Engineering projects to reduce downtime and enhance process efficiency.
  • Develop reporting methods for capacity analysis and manpower utilization for long-range planning.
  • Execute staffing strategies to align with medium- and long-term site objectives.
  • Oversee selection, training, development, and evaluation of new employees in the department.
  • Identify training needs and enhance existing programs based on production process changes and projections.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts; fumes or airborne particles; toxic or caustic chemicals; risk of electrical shock and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
  • Provide occasional off-shift, weekend, and additional hours support and lead projects within time-dependent production shutdowns.

  • Who You Are

    Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Engineering or Life Sciences
  • OR

  • 10 years of experience in a Life Science Manufacturing environment
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business, Engineering or Sciences
  • 2+ years of experience in a people leadership role.
  • Six Sigma Green Belt.
  • 2+ years of project management experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as filtration, aseptic technique, sterile filling, and / or product packaging.
  • Knowledge of safety and ergonomic issues in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to learn and understand the details of the production process.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational, written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong knowledge of process improvement methodology (i.e., Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, TOC).
  • Ability to work independently when developing and executing plans to meet objectives.
  • Proven leadership, presentation, communication, and motivational skills.
  • Effective project management skills.
  • Understanding and application of regulated environment documentation requirements.
  • Working knowledge of employment laws and practices.
  • Working skills on computers, including commonly used office software programs
  • Pay Range for this position : $85,000 - $144,200

    The offer range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base pay compensation for this position. The actual compensation offered will be determined by factors such as location, level of experience, education, skills, and other job-related factors. Position may be eligible for sales or performance-based bonuses. Benefits offered by the Company include health insurance, paid time off (PTO), retirement contributions, and other perquisites.
