job_description.job_card.job_descriptionStaff Accountant (Hybrid | Corporate Office – Southern California) Are you a hands-on Staff Accountant who enjoys digging into the details and owning your work? Do you thrive in a collaborative environment where your contributions are seen and valued? If so — this may be the next step in your accounting career. Support month-end close and general ledger accuracy Process Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable Perform bank, credit card, and account reconciliations Prepare journal entries, accruals, and financial support schedules Track cash flow, outstanding receivables, and payables Assist with financial reporting and internal documentation Partner with the Controller to improve processes and maintain accuracy Work with vendors, project teams, and internal departments to resolve accounting discrepancies What You Bring : 3–5 years of progressive accounting experience Strong AP / AR and month-end close experience Solid understanding of GAAP and general ledger accounting Construction accounting, job costing, or project-based billing experience — highly preferred Proficiency with Excel and accounting software (NetSuite or similar a plus) Detail-focused with a drive for accuracy and process improvement A collaborative attitude and ability to thrive in a hybrid work setting Why You’ll Love Working Here : Employee-owned culture — your work matters and is recognized Hybrid schedule — flexibility with stability Strong benefits : Medical, dental, vision, 401 (k), paid vacation Growth potential — opportunity to advance within the finance team Work in a mission-driven environment, helping improve learning environments for students across Southern California Ready to grow your accounting career in a dynamic, team-focused environment?
