Join a forward-thinking structural steel team within Okland's dynamic preconstruction group—where innovation meets precision. In this role, you'll play a key part in shaping the structural steel scope across a diverse portfolio of projects. From quantity takeoffs and pricing support to bid coordination and early-stage contracting, your work will directly influence how projects take shape from the ground up. You'll collaborate closely with design partners to provide constructability insights and cost guidance that help drive smarter, more efficient outcomes. Your Day to Day

• Assist with estimating and pricing related to Division 5 / Structural Steel scope on assigned projects. This includes conceptual estimates, schematic estimates, design development estimates, and estimates for bidding.
• Assist in developing front end bidding documents and bid evaluations for structural and miscellaneous steel scopes.
• Assist in contracting of Division 5 scopes together with Okland operations and preconstruction teams to ensure complete and thorough scopes.
• Responsible for ensuring the estimating and pricing for the project is completed on time so that other members of Okland Construction project team can review it and make recommendations and / or adjustments.
• Responsible for accurate estimate and pricing, which includes additional research and the correct use of additional resources, including subcontractors.
• Submits requests to architects and / or owners to obtain clarifications and answers to questions, contradictions, conflicts, inadequacies, and other confusing issues represented by the plans, specifications and other documentation.
• Participates in meetings with design partners as requested to provide design assist services.
• Uses sound estimating judgment in making decisions by frequently referring to comparable historical data on related projects, with cost escalations added as required.
• Maintains a strictly high level of confidentiality regarding financial specifics of projects, including estimates, bids, contract amounts, change orders, cost, financing arrangements, fees and other financial information.
• Markets the company to the owner and architectural team; engages the Business Development Department in pursuing future opportunities.
• Regular, timely, and predictable attendance is required for this position.
• Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
