Description :

This is a travel RN position in a busy postpartum unit.

The unit typically has 29 beds and a staff of 61.

Patient ratios are estimated at 3-4 couplets per RN, not guaranteed.

Staffing includes 1 charge RN and 1 desk PCT on each shift based on census.

Equipment used includes Welch Allen vitals machines, CPN monitors, and POC Glucose monitoring.

The EMR systems in use are CPN and Meditech.

Preferred qualifications include high-risk postpartum experience and Level 2 Nursery experience.

Typical procedures performed on this unit include POC Glucose monitoring, breastfeeding support, postpartum hemorrhage management, assisting with circumcision, and hypertension assessment / management.

The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, be a hard worker, and enjoy being busy.

Teamwork is essential, and candidates should be willing to help others.

This unit is known for its close-knit team environment and flexible scheduling.

The unit supports a high volume of births each month.
