Responsibilities Work in an 8-bed LDRP unit within a hospital setting Patient population includes labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and GYN surgical cases Patient ratios follow AWHONN guidelines for safe LDRP care Uses EPIC for EMR documentation, Alaris IV pumps, Omnicell medication dispensing, Philips monitors, GE Corometrics fetal monitors, and GE Panda Warmers Department support includes charge nurse, CNAs, hospitalist or OB physician 24 / 7, pediatrician, and lactation consultants Evening / night shift schedule from 7p-7a on a 6-week rotating cycle Weekend rotation required every other weekend Must float to Pineville, Anson, Union, Union West, CMC Main, CMC Mercy, and Levine Children’s Hospital within region and scope of practice Paid for mid-shift travel between facilities when floating Travelers will work 75% of assigned holidays No on-call required Role includes comprehensive care for LDRP and GYN surgical patients from admission to discharge Must be willing to float to multiple facilities within the designated region as needed Free parking provided on site Navy blue scrubs or business casual attire are required to and from work, with hospital-issued scrubs worn while on shift Orientation includes New Employee Orientation and two days of departmental / unit training Time off requests up to 6 days can be approved (excluding holidays), with additional days to be added at contract end if total hours are not met Requirements Active NC or compact RN license Minimum of 2 years recent LDRP RN experience required Certifications required : BLS, ACLS, NRP, and EFM Experience with all aspects of LDRP patient care including circulating c-sections, newborn care (heel sticks, 24-hour testing, NAS scoring), and lactation support Must have recent core work experience in unit specialty area within the last year Use of EPIC EMR required Must reside at least 50 miles from the home unit First-time travelers will not be considered Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-625062.
