HonorVet Technologies is seeking a travel nurse RN ED - Emergency Department for a travel nursing job in La Plata, Maryland.

RN – Emergency Room

Location : 5 Garrett Ave, La Plata, MD 20646

Shift : Nights – 3x12-Hour (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM) | 36 or 48 hours / week | Every Other Weekend

Job Description :

The Emergency Room RN provides comprehensive care to patients across all age groups in a fast-paced, high-volume, 47-bed emergency department with an average daily census of 130 patients . This role requires strong critical thinking skills, adaptability, and the ability to manage diverse patient populations in an acute care setting.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver safe, effective care to patients in the emergency setting (infant to geriatric).
  • Perform triage, patient assessments, medication administration, and emergency interventions.
  • Maintain a 1 : 4 nurse-to-patient ratio in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Document patient care accurately in the EMR system.
  • Respond to emergent situations including codes and rapid responses.
  • Float to other ED units / specialty areas as needed.
  • Work weekends and holidays as required by schedule.

    • Requirements

  • Experience : 2 years ED RN experience preferred; will consider
  • Licensure / Certifications :

    • Active RN License (Maryland or Compact).

  • AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS, CPI – required.
  • Other :

    • First-time travelers accepted.

    📌 On-Call : Not required

    Local rule : Locals under 50 miles are not allowed.
