Security Officer - Manufacturing Site

As a Security Officer - Manufacturing Site in Bluffton, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol logistics and distribution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents through routine patrols and a visible presence. You will interact with employees and visitors, providing exceptional customer service and clear communication while supporting access control measures. Pay Rate : $16.80 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Tue 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM

Wed 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

Sun 08 : 00 AM - 04 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and responding to emergency situations as appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the logistics and distribution location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and loading areas to help to deter unauthorized access and report any suspicious behavior or security-related incidents.
  • Document and report all security-related incidents, observations, and activities according to Allied Universal protocols.
  • Collaborate with site personnel and local authorities as needed to address security-related matters and support a secure environment.
  • Remain visible and approachable to staff and visitors, providing assistance and information as needed.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
