Assistant Human Resources Analyst
The City of Pasadena's Human Resources Department is seeking a skilled, enthusiastic and energetic labor relations professional to fill a current vacancy at an Assistant Human Resources Analyst or Human Resources Analyst level. This presents a new and exciting career opportunity to expand your labor relations knowledge and experience as a practitioner in the field. Appointment will be made at either level depending on experience. Assistant Human Resources Analyst salary : $74,837 to $93,546. The ideal candidate will have a foundational understanding of California labor-management relations laws, particularly the Meyers-Milias-Brown Act (MMBA). They will bring experience supporting labor relations functions, including direct involvement in the collective bargaining process, grievance tracking, and conducting salary and benefits surveys. The successful candidate will be comfortable reviewing, interpreting and applying memoranda of understanding (MOUs), side letters, and other labor agreements. Additionally, they should be capable of conducting research and analysis on labor market trends, compensation data, and comparable agency practices to inform and support negotiations strategies.

The selection process may consist of a training and experience evaluation, written test of analytical skills, interview panel and department-level interviews. There is currently one vacancy in the Labor Relations and Classification and Compensation Division of the Human Resources Department that may be filled at either level. The resulting eligibility list from this recruitment may be used to fill this vacancy and similar vacancies in the future.
