Facility : East Cooper Medical Center

Location : Mount Pleasant, SC

Department : Neonatal- ICU

Position Type : Seasonal Resource Team - Nights

Work Schedule : Contract for 12 weeks- Would work 3 12's per week with 1 12 hr call required in a 6-week schedule.

What We're Looking For :

  • Education :  4 Year / Bachelors Degree, preferred. Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required. If your RN nursing license has been inactive, retired or lapsed for five years or more and you have not been licensed in another state during the last five years, successful completion of a Board approved refresher course is required prior to reactivating or reinstating your license. In order to be considered for current licensure status, you must apply for reinstatement within one year of completing the refresher course.
  • Experience :  One year relevant experience, preferred.
  • Licensure / Certification :

Current RN licensure in appropriate state, required.

Completion of nursing service orientation program

  • Completion of IV Therapy training or demonstration of IV competency within one year
  • Current BCLS certification (required)
  • NRP certification
  • STABLE certification
  • What You'll Do : Position Summary

    Under the direction of the Department Director and / or Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse provides safe, high-quality, and compassionate nursing care to neonatal patients. Responsibilities include :

  • Delivering direct and indirect professional nursing care
  • Assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating healthcare needs for all assigned patients
  • Caring for infant to geriatric patients, unless otherwise specified
  • Collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to meet unit and hospital goals
  • Maintaining a customer-focused approach while providing evidence-based care
  • Willingness to float to other comparable nursing units, as needed
