Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced ICU RN with an active or pending OR license, Epic charting experience, and flexibility to float between units and facilities.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Position is in the ICU of a short-term acute care hospital
  • Patient ratios are typically 1 : 1 or 1 : 2
  • Shifts are 3x12 hours, with day (7 : 00–19 : 00) and night (19 : 00–7 : 00) options
  • Weekend work is required every other weekend or more
  • Floating between ICU, other units, and affiliate hospitals is required
  • Epic EMR is used and prior experience is required
  • No on-call required for this role
  • Must be willing to float to affiliate hospitals, including Milwaukie, Newberg, Portland, Hood River, Willamette Falls, Seaside, and Saint Vincent
  • Incentives and hotel accommodations provided if floating consecutively to Seaside facility
  • Required to work at least 3 of the 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day)
  • Scrubs of any color may be worn
  • Parking is provided at no cost
  • First time travelers are welcome to apply
  • Former permanent staff must wait at least three months before returning as a traveler
  • Candidates must live more than 50 miles from the facility

  • Active or pending Oregon RN license
  • Minimum of 1 year of ICU RN experience
  • Current BLS and ACLS certification required
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • Must have access to a vehicle for travel between facilities
  • Must provide two supervisory references from the past three years
