We have a position open in our Gillette, Wyoming office for Corporate Counsel. This role will be responsible for supporting both our construction and healthcare sections of our company. Corporate Counsel Duties / Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of contracts, including construction contracts (AIA, design-build), subcontractor agreements, real estate leases, vendor agreements, employment agreements, and healthcare-related contracts.Partner with the Chief Compliance Officer to ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations, including healthcare laws (HIPAA, Stark Law, Anti-Kickback Statute) and construction laws (OSHA, environmental regulations, lien laws).Manage legal disputes, oversee discovery, develop case strategy, and serve as liaison with outside litigation counsel.Act as the central point of contact for external legal counsel, ensuring efficient and cost-effective use of resources.Provide practical legal guidance to leadership and teams on employment law, corporate governance, and risk management issues.Education, Certifications, and Licenses
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-accredited law school.Member in good standing of a State Bar, with the ability and willingness to become licensed in Wyoming or qualify as in-house counsel under state rules.Experience
Minimum of 5–7 years of legal practice in a law firm or in-house counsel role.Experience in healthcare law or construction law required; direct experience in both is highly desirable.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.Required Skills and Abilities
Strong contract drafting, negotiation, and analytical skills.Knowledge of healthcare and / or construction regulatory frameworks.Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, with the capacity to explain complex legal matters clearly to non-legal audiences.Proactive, solutions-oriented approach to problem solving.Willingness and ability to relocate to Gillette, Wyoming (required condition of employment).
