About The Position

Shift : Day (7 : 00 AM – 7 : 30 PM)

Hours per Shift : 12 Hours

Experience : Minimum 1 year of recent psychiatric nursing experience required

License : Active and unrestricted RN license in state of practice

Certifications : BLS required

Must-Have : Strong assessment and critical thinking skills, ability to manage psychiatric patients, and experience in behavioral health settings

Description :

The Registered Nurse will provide comprehensive psychiatric nursing care to patients in an inpatient behavioral health setting.

The nurse will assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans to meet patient needs.

Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring patient conditions, and ensuring the accurate documentation of all nursing activities.

The nurse will collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to develop and maintain effective treatment plans.

Providing patient and family education on mental health conditions, medication adherence, and coping strategies is an essential aspect of this role.

The nurse will participate in crisis intervention, applying therapeutic communication and de-escalation techniques as needed.

Maintaining a safe, therapeutic, and supportive environment for all patients is a key responsibility.

The ideal candidate demonstrates professionalism, emotional stability, strong communication skills, and the ability to perform effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
