American Traveler is hiring a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer / Ultrasound Tech with ARDMS or ARRT certification and at least one year of ultrasound experience strongly preferred.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Hospital-based Radiology Ultrasound departmentPerforms a variety of ultrasound procedures, including abdominal, pelvic, OB, head, extremity, retroperitoneal, small parts, vascular, and cardiac as requiredAdult and potentially pediatric patient populationsEPIC charting system is usedDay shifts of 8 hours, 5 days per week, with on-call rotation for weekdays and weekendsFloating may be required to any affiliated location within 60 miles and may include performing duties outside the original skill set in accordance with policyPerforms ultrasound exams, prepares and positions patients, administers IV contrast as needed, and ensures patient safety and comfortMaintains equipment, room cleanliness, and appropriate documentation for all proceduresResponsible for patient flow, scheduling efficiency, and optimal use of equipment and suppliesMay be required to participate in clinical training for students or staff technologistsOn-call coverage outside regular hours may be required per department policyMust adhere to all state, federal, and hospital regulatory and accreditation standardsCompliance with hospital flu shot policy required during flu season; medical exemptions only with physician documentationNo local candidates accepted as travelers (must reside more than 60 miles from the facility)\n \n Requirements\n
High school diploma or GED requiredARDMS registered RDMS (OB / GYN, AB, or BR) or ARRT registered R.T.(S)(ARRT) or R.T.(S)(BS) (ARRT) requiredARDMS RVT(VT) or ARRT R.T.(S)(VS)(ARRT) or ARDMS RDCS(AE / PE) or Cardiovascular Credentialing International (RCS) also acceptedCurrent American Heart Association BLS requiredAt least one year of ultrasound experience strongly preferredActive license required if applicable; no pending licenses acceptedExperience with EPIC charting preferred\n Benefits\n
