Pay Information

$260 to $280 per hour

About The Position

Full-Time Locum Orthopedic Surgeon Opportunity

We are seeking a Board-Certified Orthopedic Surgeon for a full-time locum assignment in Iowa.

Schedule & Coverage :

Monday–Friday clinic hours : 8 AM – 5 PM

24-hour call coverage with follow-up clinic visits

Minimum availability : 2 weeks per month

Responsibilities :

Clinic-based patient care

Surgical and trauma / orthopedic call coverage

Rounding on post-op patients, inpatient & ED consults, and OR procedures

Supervising Advanced Practice Providers

Performing orthopedic surgeries including :

Total hip, knee, and shoulder replacements

Hand, wrist, knee, shoulder, hip, ankle, and foot surgical procedures

Trauma injuries, fracture care, sports medicine, and related disorders

Practice Details : Trauma Level : III

Support from multiple physicians, APPs, nurses, cast techs, and ancillary staff

Access to in-house medical imaging, lab, and pharmacy

EMR : GE Centricity (transitioning to Epic in December)

Teaching opportunities with residency programs and PA student rotations

Requirements :

Board Certification in Orthopedic Surgery (Board Eligible not accepted)

Clean malpractice history

Active Iowa medical license or IMLC eligibility

Availability for at least 2 weeks of coverage per month
