Cooperidge Consulting Firm is seeking a Senior Chiller Technician. This senior-level field service role is responsible for the diagnosis, repair, maintenance, and commissioning of large-tonnage HVAC and chiller equipment. The position requires advanced technical knowledge, strong troubleshooting ability, and extensive hands-on experience with commercial and industrial chiller systems. Candidates should be comfortable serving as both technical experts and mentors for junior technicians.
In this role, you will
- Diagnose, service, repair, and maintain large-tonnage chillers and associated HVAC systems
- Perform preventative maintenance to maximize uptime and efficiency
- Troubleshoot advanced mechanical, refrigeration, and electrical issues
- Work with a variety of chiller systems, including centrifugal, screw, absorption, and scroll units
- Support system start-up, commissioning, and performance testing
- Interpret blueprints, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and environmental standards, including refrigerant handling
- Complete detailed service logs, work orders, and technical reports
- Act as a senior technical resource for customers and internal teams
