SierraThermal, Inc. is committed to developing new and existing global capital equipment markets. We are looking for a full-time Technical Sales Engineer. Primary responsibilities for this position include preparing and delivering technical presentations, assessing customer needs, customizing solutions, and the selling of complex thermal processing equipment. This role blends deep technical expertise with strong communication skills to solve customer problems and drive sales. Qualifications
- Education – Bachelor's degree in engineering or other related technical field
- Experience – Solid background in capital equipment industry, specifically involved in thermal capital equipment sales, minimum 5 years
- Relevant employment history - Technical Sales Support for capital equipment used in PV, Electronics hi-tech applications. Senior-level contacts within SierraThermal potential global customer base relevant to equipment purchasing decisions. Deep knowledge with sales forecasting, reporting, and quoting software and procedures
- Travel – U.S., Europe, and Asia. Must be eligible to work in the US and travel internationally
- Other Attributes – Self-motivated, excellent communication skills (written and oral), structured and organized work habits, PC literate
- Language – Fluent English (spoken / written); other language fluency may be a plus
Job Responsibilities
Seek and identify business opportunities for equipment sales worldwideDevelop a customer target strategy and pursue these customers to become a qualified supplier for the target base. Interface with engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing departments in order to prepare quotations and arrange all necessary support and follow up for all pre-PO customer inquiries. Review customer contracts and negotiate necessary modifications to meet SierraThermal requirementsUndertake collaborative efforts with local sales representatives in various international territories to maximize sales effectiveness. Participate in trade-show related activitiesTechnically support customers from inquiry, concept development, quotation, and purchase order. Collaborate effectively with company engineering, support, and manufacturing staff to drive customer requirements internallyUnderstand relevant international markets, including regulations, incentives, tariff relief programs, and future manufacturing process trends in order to provide feedback to product development departmentDevelop long-term relationships at all levels with clients based on technical collaboration, innovative product excellence, service, and supportJ-18808-Ljbffr
