Minimum Requirements

Below are the minimum requirements for Texas Certified Paramedic Firefighter Trainee Position :

• Possess an active Texas Department of State Health Services Certified Emergency Medical Technician - Paramedic (EMT-P) prior to job offer.
• Per Chapter 143.023 of the Tex. Loc. Gov't code, a person may not be certified as eligible for a beginning position in the fire department if the person is 36 years of age or older.

$20,000.00 Incentive Pay for ALL new hires Texas Certified EMT - Paramedic Firefighter Trainee hired in January 2026
