Job Profile Summary :
The Emergency Management Coordinator is responsible for providing oversight and support for the allocation of resources for the emergency management program. Reviews the emergency management program documents. Reviews the emergency operations plan, policies, and procedures, and oversees the training and education that supports the emergency management program. Reviews after-action reports (AAR) and improvement plans as well.

Plans and schedules meetings, exercises, and activities to maintain EOC and EM compliance. Collects data and creates reports on activities, findings, and trends for reporting to the EOC and EM committees. Maintains assessments related to maintenance and construction activities such as Preconstruction, Infection Control, and Interim Life Safety Risk assessments and monitors activities.
Regularly reviews EOC documentation to verify activities and compliance. Stays informed of regulatory changes and assist with policy adjustments and action plans as needed. EOC is inclusive of Safety and Security, Hazardous Materials and Waste, Fire Safety / Life Safety (LS), Medical Equipment, Utility, and other physical environmental requirements.
Coordinates and conducts EOC and LS rounds regularly. Maintains documentation and reports findings to department directors. Review EM inventories as defined in policies and SOPs to ensure compliance. Reports surveillance activities to EOC and EM committees.
Coordinates, plans, and facilitates EM drills and exercises. Coordinates exercises with outside resources including LCMC EM, Region Healthcare Coalition, Local government EM, Police, Fire, and Ambulance. Creates After-Action Plans and tracks corrective actions through completion.
Participates in regulatory surveys including TJC, CMS, LADH, DHH, LASFM, ETC.
Education and Work Experience :
Appropriate combination of education and work experience is required : An associate degree, or a recognized field-related Certification such as CHFM, CHSP, or CHEP and 3 (three) years of Safety, Life Safety, or Emergency Management experience.
