Office Manager

Forterra is seeking a highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Office Manager to join our team at our newly opened Arlington, VA location. This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring smooth day-to-day operations, supporting staff, managing administrative tasks, and helping to maintain a productive and positive work environment. What You'll Do

Office Administration for Arlington Site :

  • Assist in organizing, preparing, and hosting meetings for location. This includes preparation of meeting materials, coordination of food and room setup (manage audio-visual equipment and furniture arrangements to meet meeting needs).
  • Order, stock, and maintain inventory of office and kitchen supplies. Monitor usage trends and ensure timely replenishment to avoid shortages.
  • Ensure Xerox machines and copy rooms are stocked and operational daily.
  • Maintain cleanliness and readiness of all conference rooms for scheduled meetings.
  • Assist with small facility issues in addition to creating facility repair tickets for larger issues internally as well as with property management onsite.
  • Assign and track parking passes for employees and visitors at the location.
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with site policies.
  • Provide professional and courteous support via phone, email, chat applications, and in-person interactions.
  • Serve as a point of contact for general inquiries and office-related requests.

Administrative Support for Engineering Leader :

  • Maintain engineering leader's calendar by coordinating and scheduling meetings with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Book and manage all travel arrangements.
  • Provide exceptional service to internal and external customers via phone, email, chat applications, and face-to-face.
  • Perform company sensitive and complex administrative duties involving Excel, Word and PowerPoint including typing letters, creating / updating spreadsheets, filing, and compiling presentations.
  • Exhibit a strong attention to detail, ability to adapt to daily schedules and routines, and a focus on efficiency without sacrificing quality.
  • Process daily mail and package retrieval / distribution and outbound shipments.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

  • 3+ years of work experience as office Manager and / or Administrative Assistant.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills and ability to multitask.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift 25lbs.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Facilities management and / or technician experience.
  • Experience with light bookkeeping / budgeting.
  • US Hourly Range $25 - $29 / hr

    Location On-Site in Alexandria, VA

    The salary range for this role is an estimate and is based on a wide variety of compensation factors. The salary offered to candidates will vary based on a variety of factors including (but not limited to) relevant work experience, education, specialized training, critical expertise, training, and more.
