job_description.job_card.job_descriptionProvide emergency / unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production & performs scheduled maintenance repairs of production equipment during machine service Perform simple machinist duties & responsibilities Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting & repair of production machines Read & interpret equipment manuals & work orders to perform required maintenance & service Diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test & make adjustments Perform regular preventive maintenance on machines, equipment & plant facilities Use a variety of hand & power tools, electric meters & material handling equipment in performing duties Adhere to all safety policies; identify & report unsafe conditions to Supervisor Maintain a safe clean & organized work area Other duties as assigned by supervisor Certificate in mechanical, electrical or industrial maintenance preferred. High school diploma / GED & completion of a craft apprenticeship, or an equivalent number of years of education & production maintenance experience. Ability to use calipers, micrometers, tape measures, etc., with precision Ability to work on teams or alone Ability to read & perform basic mathematics Basic computer skills May be exposed to loud noises, dirt, dust & fumes; moving mechanical parts & vibration Production floor is not temperature controlled year round Must be able to lift & / or move minimum 75 pounds for most machinery This position is very active & requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, & climbing all day \n Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception & ability to adjust focus Various production equipment Various hand & power tools
