Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level 1 trauma Emergency Department position requiring Epic and ED experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a fast-paced Emergency Department within a Level 1 trauma center
  • Cares for adult patients in a designated Stroke Center and Primary PCI center
  • Responsibilities include triage, trauma care, rapid assessment, and acute care
  • Night shift from 7 : 00 PM to 7 : 30 AM with 12-hour shifts
  • Experience with Epic EMR required
  • Must demonstrate strong critical thinking, public health, and patient teaching skills
  • Local candidates are accepted at the same rate, except for facilities with a 60-mile radius rule
  • Position is within a highly varied and active practice setting
  • Candidates must be prepared for a rapid and dynamic environment

    • Requirements

  • Active MD or compact RN license
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in an Emergency Department at a Level 1 trauma center or academic hospital
  • Experience at a facility with 500+ bed count required
  • Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
  • At least 1 year of travel nurse experience
  • Epic EMR experience required
  • ATCN or TNCC certifications preferred
