Qualifications
Candidate with BS or BA degree preferred. He / she should have experience in dealing with volunteers and working knowledge of the hospice philosophy preferred. He / she should have the ability to develop excellent community relations. Candidate should possess superior communication skills and be able to motivate persons into performing tasks voluntarily.
II.
Responsibilities
The Volunteer Coordinator works as a member of the hospice Interdisciplinary Team and in conjunction with the Executive Director or the overall coordination of the Volunteer Services Team, and other duties as decided by the administration.
III.
Orientation and Training
Willowbrook Hospice will provide orientation and training, as necessary, to assist the Volunteer Coordinator in performing the responsibilities listed above. Trainings may be in-house, or outside seminars or approved self-study. Documentation of orientation and training will become part of the personnel file.
IV.
Accountability
Reports directly to the Executive Director.
Works cooperatively with the Director of Nursing
Works cooperatively with all members of the Interdisciplinary Team
