Pricing And Risk Analyst
As a Pricing and Risk Analyst at Irving Oil Commercial, you will play a key role in managing and analyzing daily pricing to ensure competitive market positioning. Using data-driven insights, you'll make pricing adjustments within established guidelines and monitor Irving's fixed forward positions to assess wholesale exposure. Your goal will be to identify when exposure exceeds defined thresholds and promptly notifying management.
This role involves close collaboration with the Sales Operations Manager, Wholesale Sales Manager, and both inside and outside sales teams. Your analytical expertise and contract management support will contribute directly to business growth. Additionally, your success will be to successfully identify and implement process improvements across wholesale operations to enhance efficiency and performance.

Your Responsibilities :
Ensure Irving Oil's wholesale fixed forward contract book is balanced within the defined risk tolerance guidelines.Calculate fixed book market exposure dailyExecute end of month book over and position rolls for wholesale fixed forward positionReconcile the monthly true up for propane fixed positionsProvide a monthly profitability report on the wholesale fixed forward programResponsible for compiling competitive pricing intelligence and making pricing adjustments or recommendations to the broader team based on the data.Responsible for executing nightly posted prices by product and harbor across NE and ECReview daily TVA discounts to ensure adherence to a pricing strategy directed Sales Operation Manager.Monitor daily sales performance against demand plan forecast and contract commitments, notify management when liftings are outside of expectations.Participate in weekend on call coverage for customer communications regarding product availability.Provide the inside sales desk with daily information and insight as to what is influencing the CME commodities marketBecome a subject matter expert on market trends to provide weekly report out to the US wholesale teamProvide a variety of ad hoc reporting for the US wholesale team as required to support base businessYour Skills :

Four-year college degree strongly preferred3-5+ years' experience in the petroleum or similar industry preferredPrior product pricing experience preferred.Require strong business or financial acumen.Understanding of the wholesale petroleum business including daily, prompt and longer-term pricing structures preferred.Prior hedging experience preferred.Experience with Cognos, Salesforce and JDE a plus
