Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Operating Room position requiring a CA RN license and expertise in scrub and circulate roles.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the Operating Room department of an acute care setting
  • Patient population includes cardiac, hepatobiliary, robotic, spine, and ophthalmology cases
  • Requires ability to both scrub and circulate
  • Uses Epic for charting; prior Epic experience preferred
  • Day shifts with 4x10 hour schedules and variable start times (7 : 00, 9 : 00, 11 : 00, 13 : 00)
  • Rotating weekends required
  • Travelers may float to other locations if census is low
  • Provides direct and indirect perioperative patient care, including patient assessment and implementing individualized plans
  • Participates in holistic care and patient education in a collaborative interdisciplinary team
  • Only one holiday time-off request will be approved during the contract
  • Return staff must have been gone for one year before returning as a traveler
  • Modules are completed during orientation and vary by specialty
  • 50 mile radius rule applies for travel status eligibility
  • Locals are accepted at a local rate

  • Active CA RN license required at time of consideration
  • Current AHA BLS certification required
  • Minimum 2 years of OR RN experience required
  • At least 1 year of experience in cardiac cases required
  • Experience with hepatobiliary, robotic, spine, and ophthalmology services required
  • Epic EMR experience preferred
  • Must be able to complete lab work within 3-5 days of offer
  • Certifications must be in hand at time of consideration
