Overview
Assist store manager in areas of sales, appearance, and overall operations of store. Objective is to receive hands on training preparing manager in training for a management position in another store or future location. Bilingual candidates encouraged to apply.
Responsibilities
- Supervise the professional and retail operations of store and team members involved (Professional - All delivery and installer service specialists; Retail - All parts and merchandising specialists).
- Supervise work performed by all team members assigned to store / HUB store; recruit, test, hire, evaluate, promote, discipline, and discharge in collaboration with district and store management.
- Communicate information from Team Weekly and monthly store managers' meetings to all team members.
- Train new team members; conduct performance evaluations and recommend pay increases.
- Assist in the hiring process by completing recruiting tasks, scheduling and participating in interviews, evaluating candidates, and ensuring qualified hires.
- Support store manager and assistant management in safety compliance and ensuring comprehensive staff training; monitor safety expectations.
- Make sales calls with / without the store manager and may be assigned a schedule for weekly customer calls.
- Support store operations as assigned.
- Maintain delivery fleet records and ensure store / HUB store is neat, clean, and organized; manage electronic scheduling, clocking, and payroll; learn to use the scheduling, timekeeping, and payroll entry systems.
- Learn to manage key components of gross profit, monitor returns for core and warranty abuse, review price matches and overrides, and review KPI dashboards and monthly P&L with the store manager to identify opportunities.
