School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Dekalb, Illinois

A K-12 school in Dekalb, IL is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with certification as a School Nurse (CSN) to provide comprehensive health services on a contract basis for the current school year (CSY). This role offers an opportunity to support student health and wellness within a dynamic educational environment.\n\nKey Responsibilities : \n

• Deliver nursing care and health assessments to students across all grade levels.\n
• Develop individualized healthcare plans and manage chronic conditions in collaboration with school staff and families.\n
• Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders and school policies.\n
• Provide health education and promote wellness initiatives within the school community.\n
• Maintain accurate health records in compliance with state regulations.\n
• Respond promptly to health emergencies and communicate effectively with school personnel.\n\nQualifications & Experience : \n
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.\n
• Certified School Nurse (CSN) credential highly preferred.\n
• Experience working in K-12 school settings or pediatric nursing.\n
• Strong knowledge of child and adolescent health issues.\n
• Ability to manage multiple responsibilities with attention to detail and confidentiality.\n
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with students, parents, and staff.\n\nLocation : \n
